HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS
NOTE: As of May 23, conference rates are no longer available at our two conference hotels, and any rooms that remained in our contract blocks have been released back into general circulation. Space may still be available at either hotel, but at the current going rate. You may still use the links below to access the hotel booking systems.
NAPLA has contracted with two DC-area hotels to offer accommodations at discounted rates to conference attendees. In order to receive the conference rates, you must book using the links provided below.
Main Conference Hotel: Hilton Garden Inn Downtown
815 14th St. NW, Washington, DC 20005
The main conference hotel is centrally located in Downtown DC, just blocks from the White House and National Mall. The conference rate is $249/night (plus tax) and includes free on-site self-parking.
To book at the Hilton Garden, use this link. Note that the online booking system will only allow you to book at the discounted rate within the period of the conference (June 13 to June 16).
Depending on room availability, you may be able to extend your stay at the same rate. If you would like to do so, please follow these steps:
In addition to the main conference, NAPLA has secured a limited overflow block in nearby Arlington, VA, near George Mason University and just a short train or taxi ride from downtown DC. The conference rate is $139/night (plus tax) and includes free breakfast for one person and a reduced parking rate of $8/day.
To book at the Holiday Inn, use this link. Note that the online booking system will only allow you to book at the discounted rate within the period of the conference (June 13 to June 16). Depending on room availability, you may be able to extend your stay at the same rate. If you would like to do so, please follow these steps:
TRANSPORTATION
Transportation will be provided to all of our host schools and between all conference events. Due to the very high cost of bus rentals in the DC-area, we will be relying both on charter buses and the DC metro at various points throughout the week, which you will find indicated on the conference schedule.
Conference attendees will receive DC metro passes pre-loaded with enough money to cover all subway trips included in the program. If you would like to explore the city further or extend your stay, money can be easily added to the card at any metro station. You will receive your metro card at the conference registration table.
On days where we employ charter buses, bus service will run to both conference hotels.
If you have any concerns about conference transportation--and particularly if you feel you would need any accommodations--please reach out to the conference organizers at napla.org@gmail.com.
